Pumpkin Patch

Carolyns Pumpkin Patch is the cutest place. Tractor rides, slides, animals, and sooo much more. Emma loved it.

Emma's Testimony

Even though toddlers don't always act like they are listening, THEY ARE! When we are having family home evening and Emma is jumping around like a hyena, or going to church and she is stealing other kids treats and toys I don't think she is listening. Until....she points to any building with a steeple and says "Temple, mom and dad", points to the couch and says "Missionaries". On Sunday morning we watched a few short clips from Mormon Channel App., one being "Lessons I learned as a Boy"..... A few days later my mom gave Emma some coins to put in her piggy bank. When I asked Emma where her money went she started putting them into our shoes. It doesn't get any cuter than that, unless you think it is cute when she cries going to nursery. Although, she does talk about nursery all week long. Right now we have the snack bucket on our fridge for next week and she is constantly pointing to the box saying "Nursery Snack"
Even though she is the young age of two, she has a growing testimony.

Cooper at 3 Months

At 3 months old Cooper can hold his head up, follow me around the room, loves kisses (especially in his neck, it makes him laugh), loves baths, loves Emma, loves to eat his hands. Still struggles with sleeping in the night. That just gives me more snuggle time :)

My Birthday Girls

Two years ago Emma was born on my moms birthday, 50 years apart.

This year my mom was able to fly back to Missouri to be with us for their birthdays. It was such a delight to have my mom stay with me for 6 days. She is such a sweetheart and Emma sure looks up to her. Emma enjoyed waking up each morning to grandma in her room.
Emma Deru: Loves the color blue, likes to unload the dishwasher (especially the butter knives, she smiles every time), talks a ton, loves to sing popcorn popping, and itsy bitsy spider, likes Barney.

Thanks for coming to my house Mom, I loved every minute of it.

My Mommy Friends

Before we moved away from Utah I was anxious. I was anxious to get here and meet my new friends. I just KNEW there would be friends and I couldn't wait to meet them. It isn't always easy getting out of my comfort zone and talking to people. It has helped that all the guys kinda became friends first and see eachother at school everyday and all day. Now they are at school and their wives are home getting to know eachother. ( I have to thank Christie for taking pictures, Yes I stole them from you :))

Kansas City has so many things to do. Two weeks after having Cooper I flew out here. I didn't know how I was going to manage going anywhere with out Landon and lugging both kids around. It's crazy how you just adapt. I didn't want to be the "mom" stuck at home all the time because she had a baby. So I just kept going places and "lugging" the 2 kids around with me. They don't have a choice and neither do I. That is, if I want to stay sane and not have "baby talk" all day long
P.S. Don't judge the white pasty legs. I was pregnant all summer and stayed inside.

A Few of Lifes Little Moments

Landon was going to stay at the school and study until 6 or 7. 5:00 rolls around and Landon is home. I love when that happens! He said that as he flipped open his IPad there was a picture of Cooper and Emma and he said to himself "forget this, I'm goin' home". Landon loves coming home to a big hug from miss Emma.

I keep telling Landon he should be a Pediatrition, he then recieved a calling in the ward to be the Primary Pianist....Maybe it is a sign?
He then comes home to tell me he is going to be a surgeon. In anatomy lab he did an awesome job at dissecting the cadavers hand. Apparently the hands are really hard and have lots of nerves and you have to be careful. He said the other lab partners were taking a long time and it didnt look that clean. He got his done in good timing and made it look clean and neat.

Decisions....... We are ALWAYS going to have some decision to make. Right now he has the opportunity to do a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). It has its pros and cons. It will take up the next 2 summers, more money, and less time together. In Landons Patriarchal Blessing it says to seek all the education he can obtain. As of right now he is going to go for it. Go Landon!

Rain storms are crazy here in Missouri! As I layed down it sounded and felt like the windows were going to come in on me. I also was in a storm as I was driving to the bank and thought it was the biggest mistake ever. We survived and our grass is greener now.
